How Tayona Digital Redesigned the Lightricity Website
Tayona Digital rebuilt the Lightricity website on WordPress CMS, with improved design and messaging, on-page technical SEO, and increased page length and content. Migrated to a new hosting platform.

Client Requirements
Lightricity provides ultra-high-efficiency indoor photovoltaic (PV) cells, sold as components for integration in OEM products or as standalone IoT sensing and tracking devices.
There was an urgent requirement to upgrade the website, which had reached capacity with the current provider, preventing the publication of new digital content. It also had outdated design elements and messaging, and was not optimised for search.

Before

The Solution
Tayona Digital rebuilt the Lightricity website to create a stronger platform for content marketing, SEO, and future digital growth. The project included rebuilding more than 50 core pages and migrating 42 existing blog articles into a new WordPress site, supported by a new hosting platform with the storage, bandwidth, and flexibility needed as the site grows.
The new website also improved how Lightricity presents its technology and markets. Key pages, including the home page, were redesigned to make it clearer what Lightricity does, who it serves, and where its technology fits. This included a new video hero banner, clearer messaging, and dedicated content and navigation for its aerospace, IoT, and tools markets.
The rebuild also addressed usability and search performance. Navigation was simplified, stronger calls-to-action were added to high-traffic pages, and the structure of the site was updated to help users move between related content. Behind the scenes, page structure and technical SEO were improved so search engines can more easily crawl, understand, index, and rank Lightricity’s content.
